Fruit Renewed In The Spirit

Calling all Women.

Do you feel like you have been judged by the world around you? Do you have bitterness because someone who said they were a Christian hurt you? Do you judge the name “Christian” by your experience and place everyone in the same boat? Are you a Christian and have bitterness toward someone who has hurt you?

Diaries of a Fruitcake would like to introduce F.R.I.T.S.

It’s about rising out of your despair, confusion, and hurt, and being renewed in your relationship with our Heavenly Father.  The Half Baked World out there does’t understand, chooses not to understand, decides where they will set their mind and sometimes it hurts us, if we allow it. Sometimes, just maybe, there might be a person who has esteemed themselves high because of their dedication in the church and they become a little judgmental.

It hurts being judged.

I have been a bitter woman and have said that I would NEVER go to church again. Being hurt by the world, by those who are Christians, is so very hard. I didn’t understand how someone that loves the Lord could treat another without love. I know that there are many of you out there who have felt or are feeling the same way. It’s time to be renewed. The bitterness and being offended keeps you in bondage. It had been almost 3 years for me before my faith was renewed.

F.R.I.T.S. is my Life Baking women’s group out of Diaries of a Fruitcake and I am the Fruitcake, Jesus Christ is our Baker.  I am here to encourage and help your fruit be renewed in the Spirit. To understand what fruit is, turn in any Bible to Galatians 5:22-26.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”  Galatians 5:22-26 KJV

Don’t let your mind be troubled any longer but set it on the heavenly things above.

Do you want the bitterness to go away and live life to it’s fullness? I know I wanted that yet I stayed in my home for almost 3 years because I couldn’t let go of the hurt I was feeling. I was afraid to trust again. I mean, I worked and got out but I didn’t socialize with people and I didn’t open my heart or tear down the wall that I put up around it. No one was getting in again. I was choosing to stay in my bitterness and self pity. The effects were troublesome to me. I lost weight, gained weight. I broke out constantly on my face and my hair was starting to fall out. Stress does that to a person. It’s not healthy for the mind, body or the soul. We have to understand that we don’t have to walk through life alone. Realize that your situation is not unique even though it makes you feel special thinking it is. Someone, somewhere has gone through the same thing just with a different face and name. How we get through our trials can be unique and help others. We are here to share and walk through the valley together, not alone.

Hebrews 10:24: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
