Fruit Renewed In The Spirit
Do you feel like you have been judged wrongly by those who seem like they are perfect? Do you have bitterness because someone who said they were a Christian hurt you? Do you judge the name “Christian” by your experience and place everyone in the same boat? Are you a Christian and have bitterness toward someone who has hurt you?
Diaries of a Fruitcake is introducing F.R.I.T.S.
It’s about rising out of your despair and hurt and being renewed in your relationship with God. The half baked world out there does’t understand, choose not to understand, decide where they will set their mind and sometimes it hurts us, if we allow it. Sometimes, just maybe, their might be a person who has esteemed themselves high because of their dedication in the church and they become a little judgmental. It hurts being judged.
I have been a bitter woman and have said that I would NEVER go to church again. Being hurt by the world, by those who are Christians, is so very hard. I didn’t understand how someone that loves the Lord could treat another without love. I know that there are many of you out there who have felt or are feeling the same way. It’s time to be renewed. The bitterness just doesn’t help. It had been almost 3 years for me before my fruit was renewed.
F.R.I.T.S. is my Life Baking women’s study out of Diaries of a Fruitcake and I am the Fruitcake Baker. I am here to encourage and help your fruit be renewed in the Spirit. To understand what fruit is, turn in any Bible to Galations 5:22-23. Don’t let your mind be troubled any longer but set it on the heavenly things above.
Do you want the bitterness to go away and live life to it’s fullness? I know I wanted that yet I stayed in my home for almost 3 years because I couldn’t let go of the hurt I was feeling. I mean, I worked and got out but I didn’t socialize with people and I didn’t open my heart or tear down the wall that I put up around it. No one was getting in again. I was choosing to stay in my bitterness and self pity. The affects were troublesome to me. I lost weight, gained weight. I broke out constantly on my face and my hair was starting to fall out. Stress does that to a person. It’s not healthy for the mind, body or the soul. We have to understand that we don’t have to walk through life alone. Realize that your situation is not unique even though it makes you feel special thinking it is. Someone, somewhere has gone through the same thing just with different faces and names. How we get through our trials can be unique and help others. We are here to share and walk through the valley together, not alone.
