In a changing world, God is unchanged.

In people’s selfish ambitions to be more, get more, etc… our world changes.

In this day and time, change has happened to make life easier so we are lazier, heavier and our morals are dying with the ages.  There is more selfishness to make one’s life easier.  When it’s distancing one farther away from righteousness.

What is “righteousness”?  It is living right.  That is how I remember it. To help you live “right” requires obedience to the Lord.

How can these selfish ambitions and obedience live together?  Selfish ambition leads to death, obedience leads to life.

Righteousness is living right. Once you find yourself being obedient to the Word, next would come sanctification.Sanctification is living holy.

Living holy leads to eternal life. Romans 6:22

People have a hard time living life because they aren’t living holy.  They come to church on sunday and hear the sermon, sing the songs and then live unholy next week. Some come to church to say they did their good deed for the week.

I haven’t been going, for my reasons but I am planning to go this morning and later for a woman’s bible study.

When you go to church, ask yourself why you are going?  You might be surprised by your answer.  Asking myself this question I am finding that I want to see what the Lord has prepared the Preacher to teach me this morning.  I can say “me” because God knows I am going to be showing up.  Just like the others that will be there. The message is for us. The message is for every ear but only few will take it in and apply it.

The revival needed is the Holy Spirit and life will change to us wanting righteousness that leads to sanctification.

I know to many of you I am using these words that aren’t familiar in a regular conversation. Righteousness, sanctification, living Holy, revival, etc… It might throw you off a little. Even the word, obedience.  Obedient to who?  I mean, I am a grown woman and don’t answer to anyone, right?

Wrong…

We will always answer to someone, whether it be man or God or your higher power and whether we are a woman or man. I answer to my husband a lot. Lord knows I don’t like it sometimes but he is the head of the household in this marriage. Even though sometimes I take it back and when I do, it never fails, the home becomes chaos!  Sometimes I don’t like having to be obedient to the Word and when that happens it’s because I am thinking of me.  The obedience I am talking about is to the Lord.  There is no wrong with Him like there is man.  My husband would jokingly say, “You said in our vows you would obey!” Ummm, darling, no I didn’t!  BUT that is another subject, obeying your husband.  Ladies, I know you don’t like to hear that.  I sure didn’t but when you put your heart in the right place and walk in faith according to the scriptures, you would be surprised how the Lord moves in your marriage.  It moved in mine.

So, while we are always changing, the Word does not. Some might think that the Word in the old and new testament doesn’t apply to us today but everything written is a lesson to us all. How you apply that lesson is up to you. You are given the freedom of choice.
